Chez Ric et Fer
Just over an hour from Paris, in the village of Coucy le Château, a Parisian couple with an artistic bent has established a small and very stylish bed and breakfast. Chez Ric et Fer, named for Richard and Fernanda, contains just two rooms and a suite, each one a charming homage to the late-Modernist style of the turn of the Seventies. It’s a splendid place for an uncomplicated getaway, but there’s also history to be found here — the village’s castle was destroyed by bombardment during the First World War, and the present buildings, including this boutique B&B, were constructed from its stones.
