Hotel Review
Ruth and Paul have been running this adults-only two-bedroom B&B for over 20 years. This working farm is just 10 minutes from Bury St Edmunds and Lavenham and has been in the family since the early 50's, when Paul's grandfather bought it and grew it into the thriving farm it is now. The two rooms, Pippin and Bramley have been beautifully designed by art and design student Ruth; each is self-contained with its own entrance. Wonderful attention to detail including teas, coffees, hot chocolate and brownies, along with USB and USBC sockets. The rooms feature superking size beds, large en-suite shower rooms, lovely bed linens, Bramley bath and body products and fresh fruit directly from the farm. Breakfast is fabulous, with products either from the farm or locally sourced with homemade bread and jams. The orchards are beautiful and there are benches dotted around so you can stop on your walks and enjoy the countryside views. The apple and pear trees are particularly stunning when in blossom but it’s also lovely here during the winter months; Ruth and Paul also grow and sell Christmas trees and have a beautiful Suffolk barn selling Christmas decorations in December. There's no restaurant but the nearest pub is just a 5 minute's walk. This two room B&B is better than many boutique hotels. Seriously.
