Hotel review

There’s little evidence today of the origins of this chic hotel set in the delightful seaside town of Gallipoli, but part of the old building was once a baker’s: the ovens were housed in the vaulted breakfast room/bar. Now encompassing the next-door building, Corte Palmieri houses 22 comfortable and stylish bedrooms, reached by a warren of arched passageways, staircases, small courtyards and terraces. Weather permitting, breakfast and aperitivi are served on the large roof terrace with sweeping sea views.
