Hotel Review
Charming and understated luxury in the heart of the Palmeraie just 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the medina. Small and perfectly formed Dar Zemora is a serene oasis with large pool hidden amidst a lush garden filled with roses. With just 6 rooms this boutique gem is small enough to take over for celebrations and parties and for utmost privacy there's a two bedroom private Pavilion Pool Villa with its own terrace and sitting room. The staff, led by Youssef, who has been here since day one, are friendly and efficient and anything and everything can be arranged almost at a moment's notice. Dining is a relaxed, romantic affair with a set three-course menu (vegetables are grown on site) served on the terrace or inside in the cosy dining room. Bedrooms are large with spacious en-suites and the English owners have ensured that the beds are adorned with only the best, fluffiest pillows, a refreshing change from other hotels in Marrakech. Complimentary afternoon tea is served by the pool and relaxing Moroccan massages are available before or after a traditional hammam. Dar Zemora is one of the best places to stay in and around Marrakech and a great choice to combine with a couple of nights in the medina.
