“A charming collection of shepherd's lodges, treehouses and an original American Airstream just five minutes from the River Dart. All offer quirky, unusual accommodation in a stunning location. Interiors are contemporary with a rustic vibe; treehouses come with hot tubs. Great fun for all the family.”

Hotel review

Tucked away amid beautiful Devonshire countryside, just five minutes from the River Dart you'll find the aptly named Dittisham Hideaways. This gem of a property comprises five treehouses (two are dog friendly), five shepherd's lodges and an original American Airstream caravan; it has been created as a haven of back to nature peace and relaxation away from the crowds that you usually associate with this region. Each unit has been carefully thought out and provides chic yet homely accommodation with plenty of luxury touches including wood burning stoves, fully equipped kitchens — the treehouses even boast private outdoor cedar woodfired hot tubs. The shepherd's lodges are set in a pretty wildflower meadow with gorgeous views over the wooded valley, whilst the treehouses enjoy a woodland position and the airstream is located in a secluded corner (perfect for a romantic getaway). All come with outdoor deck or terrace with hammock and an array of games from outdoor chess to table football. You can even book a private chef if you can't be bothered to cook and don't want to drive anywhere for supper! Put simply Dittisham Hideaways is the ideal retreat for families or couples looking for a charming, totally relaxing stay in some truly beautiful English countryside.
