Hotel Review
For a truly unique experience stay at Douar Samra; situated at 2000 metres in a small village, three minutes steep walk from the nearest road, with breath-taking views of Mount Toubkal and the surrounding mountains. It is constructed in traditional Berber style, comprising the main building and a mass of well-furnished rooms and terraces accessed by stone or wooden stairs. The eight small, snug bedrooms have open log fires, imaginative detail and every possible facility. For meals guests sit on sumptuous couches in the large dining/sitting room, and eat off low tables, by candle light and before a roaring fire. The last to bed has the task of extinguishing 200 candles! Mohammed, Omar and their team are eternally welcoming, cheerful and solicitous, full of advice, guidance and equipment for walking. The delightful family atmosphere is enhanced by the presence, outside, of three dogs, two cats, a donkey and an organic garden.

The Tree House is particularly popular but each of our rooms has its own personal charm and its own shower room, fireplace and a balcony from which to admire the view.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
Families with children are welcome; we have three suitable family suites which they can book and of course we can also provide an extra bed* for a baby. Children love playing with the animals in the garden; dogs, cats, ducks and Jules, our little donkey.
