“Neo-Gothic mansion turned country house hotel just six miles from Stratford upon Avon. Perfect for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre or simply exploring the Cotswolds. Spacious and well appointed bedrooms, plus swimming pool and 2 AA Rosette dining.”

Hotel review

This attractive neo-gothic mansion, turned country house hotel dates back to the 15th century, but was pretty much rebuilt in the late 1850s. Following spells as private residence, nursing home and prisoner of war camp, it was converted into a hotel in the 1980s. Under the ownership of Handpicked Hotels it now offers spacious comfortable rooms, and elegant public areas which have been furnished with antiques and works of fine art on the walls. Set amid 40 acres of parkland it is ideally located for enjoying all the cultural delights of Stratford upon Avon, or simply getting away from it all. For relaxation on site there is a large indoor pool. Fine dining in The Oak Room is 2 AA Rosette standard. A popular venue for weddings and business events.
