Hotel review

This new boutique hotel blurs the line between art gallery and accommodation with a smart set of suites featuring contemporary Italian and international artists. Located on a quiet street in the heart of Rome, just ten minutes' walk from the Spanish Steps, this stylish Italian bolt-hole makes a great base for exploring the Eternal City. Contemporary sculptures and paintings adorn the hotel lobby, which boasts an elegant lounge with a fireplace. Upstairs the bright suites are intimate, with sink-in armchairs, cosy rugs and bookshelves adding a home-away-from-home feel. The gallery continues into the private rooms, with over 100 works by contemporary artists continuously on display. Couples love the hotel's romantic hot tub suite, boasting a private terrace with beautiful city views. Make sure to take a trip upstairs to Acquaroof, the hotel's chic urban rooftop garden, where signature cocktails complement a breathtaking city panorama. For dinner, book a table in the Michelin-starred Acquolina, the hotel's fresh seafood restaurant. For a more informal evening, retreat to the cosy hotel lounge bar. A stylish, central city stay.

The First Luxury Art Hotel

When is a hotel not a hotel? When it’s also an art gallery – one which showcases the work of Italian and international artists in both common areas and bedrooms. One of the newest of Rome’s central luxury hotels, this 29-room urban refuge is a discreet alternative to the larger luxe palaces.
