“This luxury hotel sits on the Athens Riviera, 30 minutes from the historic centre. Rooms are bright and airy, with large windows and furniture in a pleasing pastel palette. The best suites have a private pool with pretty sea views. Dine at one of 7 restaurants or relax by the pool.”

Hotel review

This five-star luxury resort occupies the site of the formerly renowned Astir Palace, a 60s landmark, VIP hotel where Brigitte Bardot once stayed. After a recent facelift, the resort now boasts contemporary suites and first-class facilities, only half an hour from the centre of Athens and the airport. Set on the very tip of the Greek peninsula, surrounded by pine trees and overlooking the sea, the resort is a beautiful alternative to a city stay. Rooms offer either sea or pine views, and most have a good-sized terrace with outdoor furniture. The soft, pastel palette brings the colours of the landscape inside, while the hand-selected soft furnishings add a homely feel. For groups or families, there are the self-contained private bungalows, which derive from the original 1960s hotel. These and some of the private suites offer a private pool, multiple bedrooms and outdoor space. For supreme luxury book the penthouse suite, which offers split-level living and dining space, multiple bedrooms, a private pool and outdoor terrace. Amenities abound at this luxury resort; there is a yacht marina, spa, three swimming pools as well as seven restaurants and bars to choose from. There are good activities on offer for families too, with tennis lessons and watersports available for young adults. Guests can enjoy the use of not one but three private beaches. A stand-out luxury resort.

The Future Of Athens, Greece: A New Four Seasons

The stunning Four Seasons is located on the newly revived Athens Riviera, on the end of a pine-studded peninsula in Vouliagmeni. I took a tour with the resorts very handsome General Manager Sam Ioannidis and was amazed at how the plans were shaping up to restore the resort to its former glory and what will quickly become the hottest new destination.
