Greenhills Country House Hotel is a rural retreat, occupying a secluded spot in St Peter’s Valley. The central part of this imposing granite farmhouse dates back to the 17th century, so there is plenty of character in the public rooms, with roaring fires to welcome you in from walks in the winter. The rooms are all decorated slightly differently with colourful country-style upholstery and floral wallpapers or painted walls and oak furniture. Lemony White Company toiletries compliment the contemporary bathrooms. On a fine day take lunch or afternoon tea in the garden and lounge by the outdoor pool or ramble down the surrounding country lanes. Dinner is a formal three-course affair offering plenty of options and prepared to a high standard.
