Hotel de la Ville has a lot on its plate in order to keep up with its neighbours, the neo-classical palace of The Royal House of Savoy, and it does a sterling job. Remaining in the same family for generations this property has more antiques and curio pieces than most museums. There is even a room called 'The Globe Room' encouraging guests to plan their next travels. Walls are decorated with authentic wood panelling and ancestral oil paintings. Gourmet meals are on the menu in the Derby Grill restaurant where head chef, Fabio Silva, creates his seasonal, Brianza inspired menu using only the finest local ingredients. Sample drinks and old world charm in the American Bar, decorated with more wood panelling, exposed brick and dark leather sofas. Or enjoy your tipple from the ambient terrace. Rooms are an equally grandiose affair, many of which enjoy views of the royal palace. Four poster beds covered in the finest Italian silks with soft, well placed lamps and statement chandeliers lighting up the rooms.
