The unassuming but comfortable Hotel de l'Horloge is close to all Avignon's attractions and offers a reasonably priced base for a short break in the city. The Palais des Papes and Pont Saint-Bénezet are a short stroll from the hotel's front door. Rooms and public areas are blandly decorated in neutral tones. Some have balconies overlooking the street, and one top-floor suite has a roof terrace with a view of the Palace. Luxuries include minibar, robes, coffee machines, and designer toiletries. Buffet breakfast is served in a bright ground-floor conservatory. There's no restaurant or bar, but there are plenty of places to eat on busy place d'Horloge, a few steps away. It's a 10-minute walk from Avignon-Centre station and parking is available nearby. Reception is staffed all the time. There's a business nook with computer and printer, and wifi is available throughout. A TV lounge (with shelves of holiday reading) doubles as a small meeting room.
