Klaus K Hotel offers stylish, art-infused stays right in the middle of Helsinki, housed in a former schoolhouse and printing press near the grand avenues of historic Esplanade Park. This was Helsinki's first design hotel, and it still blends Art Nouveau charm with modern Scandi cool. All types of traveller will delight in the interior's inspiration but especially literature lovers: Finland’s national epic poetry saga, Kalevala, informed design choices. Unique ‘art rooms’ add even more whimsy, created by Finnish creatives like cartoonist Katja Tukiainen, and British designer GP&J Baker. Large Sky Lofts and Sky Suites offer luxurious touches, including elevated private entrances, sleeping areas, egg-shaped beds, and ceiling windows. Big draws are the diverse breakfast spread, Toscanini Italian restaurant, and stunning views from the Sky Terrace rooftop bar, where DJs play all summer. A huge bonus: you can walk to pretty much every tourist hotspot from this prime location in the trendy design district.
