“Elegant 4* 17th-century hotel with a low-key sense of luxury and a choice of historic or more contemporary rooms some with four poster beds. Lovely breakfast courtyard, excellent meeting rooms, and business centre. It caters perfectly to the business visitor.”

Hotel Review
Although only three minutes' walk from the tourist crowds of the Grand-Place, this is a calm and peaceful retreat. Even better, it has a hidden courtyard garden. Choose either an elegantly classic room in the 17th-century part of the hotel - parquet floors and panelling, some with antiques and four-poster beds - or a brighter, more contemporary room (pale-wood floors, sleek bathrooms) in the patio and garden wings. All the more modern rooms are a good size; most of the latter have garden views. Charmingly, all rooms are named after Belgian artists, and display examples of their works.
There are two quiet lounges for relaxing while the graceful dining-room, with its high ceiling, plasterwork panels, tall windows and softly flickering candles, is a delight for breakfast - the latter a generous spread of fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses and freshly baked breads. Service, in this family-owned hotel, is discreet but friendly, with nothing too much trouble.
