Mandelieu is a resort at a short distance from the centre of Cannes and is perfect for those looking for a quieter experience of the French Riviera. L'Ermitage de L'Oasis boasts a coveted position on the marina, with views of the sea and mountains; the hotel has a linked estate a short drive away which comprises acres of grounds including a golf course and vineyards. Rooms at the hotel are bright, airy and understated; terracotta tiles and nautical accents bring aspects of the beautiful bay inside. Most rooms offer a pretty balcony or terrace with a breakfast table. The hotelier's impressive art collection is on show throughout the hotel, with each suite featuring original pieces. Family rooms are also an option here, making this a great choice for parents travelling with children. Despite its four stars and Riviera location, the hotel's prices have remained very affordable. This has not affected the facilities at the establishment, which are first-class across leisure, food and accommodation. Guests can enjoy dining at Bistrot de L'Oasis, now headed by two Michelin-starred chef Alain Montigny. Spends days playing tennis and golf or simply lounging by the heated pool. A chic, unfussy stay.
