The owners of the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel in the pretty village of Luss on the west side of Loch Lomond, claim that their village is the loveliest in Scotland. With its low sandstone cottages (rose covered in summer), loch-side position, wooden pier and pretty timber-roofed church, it ticks a lot of the boxes. And now it has a totally refurbished and titivated small hotel with gastropub/restaurant as well. The fourteen bedrooms are all newly decorated in traditional style with modern twists. Beds have feather duvets and pillows (hypoallergenic bedding can be provided) and the rooms have free wifi, iPod docks and good bathrooms with Arran Aromatics toiletries. The bar is cosy but bright and on sunny days guests can sit outside in the courtyard or garden. Chef Peter Wilson’s tempting menu includes gastropub classics such as tarted-up fish and chips, alongside dishes of locally sourced game, beef and lamb plus some irresistible puddings. Awarded Argyll & Lomond's Romantic Hotel of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2013

Yes, excellent meals served Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good wine list, extensive whisky selection and locally brewed ales.
