“A chic Paris hideaway in an off-the-beaten-track spot, close to the Marais. Smart guestrooms have carefully selected design pieces and cosy rugs and marble clad bathrooms; the best come with private terrace. Unwind at the subterranean spa and enjoy cocktails and dinner at the restaurant or terrace. ”

Hotel review

Situated in an unassuming little road in one of Paris’ less well known neighbourhoods adjacent to the Marais, Maison Breguet is a beacon of luxury in this relaxed, authentic East Paris area. Converted from a former washing maching factory, here you’ll definitely find luxury, but paired back and understated luxury at its best with carefully chosen furnishings and bespoke design pieces that have a distinctly retro vibe, and stand-out contemporary art on the walls. For a real treat book one of the junior suites. These huge rooms are bright and airy with polished wood floors, a huge comfy bed, and wonderful floor to ceiling French windows which lead out to a private furnished terrace (perfect for drinks on a balmy summer evening). The Carrera marble-clad bathrooms are huge with large soaking tub. The other room categories are equally as stylish, they just don’t offer the same space! For those travelling as a small group, the property can also offer a private three bedroom house — the perfect space for those who want hotel level facilities with the independence and privacy that comes from having your own place. Downstairs there’s a buzzy restaurant (with open kitchen) championing seasonal ingredients with a lovely green terrace — ideal when the weather is good. The final icing on the cake is the wellness area in the basement. It’s the perfect haven after a day seeing the sights or hitting the shops: you can expect an 8m indoor pool with counter current jet, sauna and hammam. There’s also a treatment room where they offer tailor made treatments created in partnership with Olivier Lecoq, a veritable legend in terms of hotel wellness programmes! Maison Breguet is the one to book for anyone who eschews the tourist hot spots; it’s ideal if you're looking to discover the real Paris and to live like a local on your visit, albeit in high-end five star luxury!
