“A seamless blend of contemporary and traditional Singaporean design. Floor to ceiling windows make the most of those views, as does the rooftop pool. Large rooms are filled with polished woods and shimmering silks. There are five restaurants to choose from, tennis courts and spa. So nice it hurts. ”

Hotel Review
Shaped like the Mandarin Oriental's iconic fan the traditional meets modern approach permeates the very structure of this stunning property. Rooms surround a magnificent 50 metre high atrium. Containing fountains, ornate sculptures and an excellent bar; step into a world of comfort and calm upon arrival. Rooms are exceptional and decorated in beech wood and soft, autumnal palettes. Bed covers and cushions are of the finest, ornate silks. Make the most of those views with a Harbour View room, preferably as high up as possible! Bathrooms are of a generous size and the suites, with expansive separate living areas, are worth every penny. As with most things at the Mandarin Oriental, you are spoilt for dining options. Enjoy laid back Italian cuisine by the pool at Dolce Vita, a cocktail with a view at Axis bar or superlative Cantonese cuisine at our favourite, Cherry Garden. Following its 2013 renovation the spa and gym are state of the art and if you are up to it in the steamy Singapore weather there are tennis courts onsite. Service is attentive yet unobtrusive. This award winning combination makes this hotel one longs to return to, even at the somewhat eye-watering prices.
