“This grand 19th-century palazzo has classic interior design with a modern twist and is on the same premises as Restaurante Lasarte, run by celebrated chef Martín Berasategui. This glitzy 5-star is also a stone's throw from sights and luxury shops and has an elegant in-house spa and wellness centre.”

Monument Hotel

A 19th-century palazzo, formerly one of two buildings of the Hotel Condes de Barcelona. The Monument has been transformed into a glitzy five-star. During the summer its lack of a pool will be off-putting to some, but there are many compensatory factors, not least a contender for Barcelona's best restaurant.
