The Cartagena edition of the Movich Colombian hotel group is a warm ode to its Caribbean home; located in the picturesque old town close to the coast, this small luxury hotel offers comfortable rooms with pared back design focused on local materials. With a rooftop pool and terrace plus a chic ground-floor restaurant, this hotel is perfectly pitched between the luxury and the local. Rooms are simply dressed with white linens, tiled floors and accents of the traditional caña Flecha, a material used for the Colombian sombrero vueltiao. Some suites feature exposed stone walls from the original heritage property that the hotel is housed in. Book the luxury Bayside Suite to enjoy a private balcony with lovely city views and an ensuite with a romantic whirlpool bath. One of the hotel highlights has to be the rooftop terrace; take a dip in a pool with a view or relax by the bar with a signature cocktail.
