Palazzo de Mori, in a handsome 15th-century palazzo, stands just above the ramparts of the lovely old port town of Otranto. The huge terrace, set with wrought-iron sofas and big white umbrellas, overlooks the sea and is an enchanting spot from which to enjoy sultry summer evenings. The decoration throughout is simple, stylish white on white with the odd splash of colour. The best of the ten bedrooms are the sunny ones on the top floor.
