This place simply does not do itself justice. Friendly staff are delightful from the moment you arrive (with many making an effort to remember you by name) and make your stay an unforgettable one. There are three restaurants, serving traditional Indonesian dishes, with some Western additions, and Teppanyaki cuisine. Food is simple, yet flavoursome, with plenty of juices and salads on the menu for those who've come for a bit of a detox. Speaking of which, Puri Dajuma is a haven for yogis. Classes are held at 9 am each morning in a spacious and breezy yoga studio. Gaze out at swaying palm trees as your own "tree pose" begins to sway a little. Traditional Balinese treatments are on offer from your simple 60 minute Balinese massage to full day wellness packages. Rooms feel very tropical with hammocks hung on private balconies and terraces, plenty of exposed wood, and outdoor showers. There are two pools, one with a rock pool and water flume slide (big enough for grown-ups too) and plenty of activities on offer to keep the little ones entertained.
