“A welcoming haven in traditional Rajput style. Landscaped gardens, beautiful verandas, exquisitely decorated rooms, and a host of fantastic activities - desert riding safaris, flora and fauna, and relaxation in the spa to name a few. A wonderful taste of Rajasthan. ”

Hotel review

If horse, jeep or camel riding in the desert takes your fancy, as well as exploring the city, this is the place to be, 40 miles from Jodhpur. Owned and run by the Singh family, descendents of the Rathores who built the forified desert house 375 years ago, it is an immediately welcoming haven in traditional Rajput style, providing personal yet never intrusive service, plus marble floors, hanging chairs, charming bedrooms and attractive decorative details. Set by a lake teeming with bird life it has shady verandahs and cosy corners in which to relax with a book, and spectacular lawn echoing to the sound of strutting peacocks. Remember to pack a warm jumper because mornings and evenings in the popular winter months can be chilly.
