Entering Rosewood London through an archway into a quiet cobbled courtyard, and being met by tweed-jacketed staff to whisk away your bags and usher you in to reception (via the extraordinary rose bronze gallery), you get the sense that you're in for something special. The property, an Edwardian Grade II listed building, was once home to the Pearl Assurance Company's headquarters and is tucked away just behind busy High Holborn. The exterior retains its heritage, but inside a transformation has occured. The interiors are simply stunning - dark and moody, sultry and sophisticated - and are adorned with bijoux objets, bold contemporary artworks (some can be purchased) and carefully placed coffee table tomes. Spacious rooms and suites continue the beautiful decor - there's a great balance between modern style and a more sedate country house vibe. And attention to detail is superb, from the complimentary toiletries to the luxury Italian bed linens and Dyson hairdryers. Nothing has been missed out or left to chance. Even the lighting systems are simple and easy to use! Rosewood London also delivers in terms of experience. Step into Scarfes Bar and you'll find a buzzy venue, where the interiors are evocative of a stylish club (think roaring fire and shelves filled with antique books) and the cocktails are innovative and even theatrical. For dining the Holborn Dining room is famous for its seafood and its pies, and neither should be missed (in fact you may have to come back to make sure you try them both!). It is brasserie in style, the food is fabulous and the buzzy atmosphere is infectious. The relaxed Mirror Room is a more low key dining space, where you can sit in deep comfy sofas and enjoy a selection of sharing plates and salads that are available all day. Breakfast is also served here, a wonderful array of freshly cooked to order dishes, or the usual healthy options if you don't want to overdo it. For those who insist on an indulgent pampering spa with their five star experience, then Sense, A Rosewood Spa will oblige. Plus there's also a boutique hair salon from the award winning Michael Curtis and an elite personal trainer for serious fitness freaks. Quite simply, Rosewood London is superb. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and discreet - this is a very slickly oiled machine and the serice is seamless. If you're looking for a top notch stay in a superb central location, Rosewood London cannot be beaten.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Rosewood London is situated in the centre of the city, surrounded by all the main attractions within walking distance, which makes us the ideal base for exploring the British capital. It is also a real haven to call home, with its own private inner courtyard, the hum of the city slips away and is replaced by an atmosphere of quiet sophistication and unsurpassed hospitality. What is there to do in the area or on site? Rosewood London is centrally located in the heart of London. Moments from Covent Garden, in one of London’s most historic yet dynamic locales and just a stone’s throw away from vibrant Lamb’s Conduit Street, the Royal Opera House, the British Museum and West End Theatres. Highlights: 1.Just a few steps from the hotel next to Lincoln’s Inn Fields stands the Sir John Soane’s Museum, which played home to one of the greatest English architects, and which now exhibits an exclusive collection of fascinating antiquities, sculptures and drawings. 2.The Pie Room has recently opened, selling pastry creations and offering guests a behind-the-scenes look at how Chef Calum Franklin’s intricate, hand-crafted pies are made at Holborn Dining Room. 3.Experience an award-wining afternoon tea in our Mirror Room. Voted as the Best Contemporary Afternoon Tea in the UK for the second year running, Executive Pastry Chef, Mark Perkins' latest collection of pastries is inspired by the artistic movements of Cubism and Pop Art. What kind of breakfast do you offer? Breakfast can be enjoyed in Holborn Dining Room, Mirror Room or the comfort of your own room or suite. We offer a delicious Continental or Full English Breakfast as well as healthier options including acai bowls and detox juices. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? We have an eclectic range of dining experiences at Rosewood London, from the glamourous Mirror Room, serving all day dining and art-inspired afternoon tea to Holborn Dining Room, our Grand British Brasserie. Scarfes Bar also offers bar snacks alongside creative cocktails and live jazz, seven nights a week. For dining destinations outside of the hotel, Covent Garden is just a 5-minute walk away, which has a dizzying array of restaurants, from traditional British ale houses to Michelin-starred dining. Lamb’s Conduit Street is also a few moments away and is home to a real hidden treasure trove Victorian pubs and intimate wine bars, with Noble Rot being one of our standout favorites. Which are your most popular room types, and why? The hotel’s beautifully appointed accommodations are amongst the most spacious in the city and include 44 luxury suites and one-of-a kind curated houses enhanced with personalised butler service. For a one-night stay, our elegant Grand Executive Rooms are popular as they have lots of natural daylight, and for those who are staying longer, our Grand Premier Suites are amongst the largest one-bedroom suites in London. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? Our young guests are very important to us and we prepare a personalised check-in and welcome letter with the unique experiences, services and amenities designed especially for them during their stay. As part of our Rosewood Explorer’s program, children between the ages of 3-12yrs receive a passport on check-in which invites them to visit each of our restaurants to collect a stamp. Once all stamps are collected, they receive a special treat. They can then take this to other Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to add more stamps to their passport. For room arrangements, we have dedicated Family Rooms with two double/full beds, these spacious rooms are a comfortable home-away-from-home which has been thoughtfully arranged for parents traveling with children. Spanning an average of 36 square meters, the contemporary residence is furnished with all of the essentials a family might want and features a roomy marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub and separate rain shower.
