Who knew that Ipswich was home to such a fantastic hotel?! The clue’s in the name: the building was originally a salt warehouse, converted into a luxuy hotel with 70 rooms. Interiors are modern and eclectic, with eye-catching modern art everywhere you look. Rooms are large, chic and contemporary with white en-suite bathrooms, many featuring both bath and large walk-in showers - the second floor waterfront rooms are the best with a small balcony and sliding doors overlooking the marina.
Remaining true to its origins there's original exposed brickwork and industrial pillars on the ground floor, home to the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is busy with a modern Mediterranean menu and a great wine list featuring some delicious less known wines. In summer you can have romantic waterfront dinner al fresco and watch the world go by. Service is exceptional on every level; friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Arrive early and you'll manage to get one of the car park spaces.
Sex in the city.
