High up on a hill, at just under 30-minutes from Ubud, lies Samsara. Enveloped by lush greenery its sleek modern interiors stand out against its soft natural environs. Seventeen luxurious villas, with capacious four-poster beds and private pools are the perfect escape for holidaying romantics. Open plan bathrooms (with both indoor and outdoor showers) and floor to ceiling sliding doors give a feel of tropical living. The aesthetic is totally modern, whilst copper taps and fittings, and stone sinks, add a touch of rustic charm. The food is nothing if not indulgent, and guests can enjoy sumptuous meals and 180º views at The Kelusa. Chef Iwan Sutrisno has created a tasty fusion menu, combining Indonesian and European flavours. Make sure to save yourself for breakfast: it can be enjoyed on the terrace or to your room, and includes a Lobster Benedict! Whether whiling away an afternoon by the infinity pool, with a cocktail in hand, enjoying a signature massage at the Chakra spa, or making use of the complimentary shuttle service into Ubud town, there is a lot to keep one occupied at Samsara. A great choice when in Ubud.
