Delightfully located in a rural village on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border, this historic gastropub with rooms boasts a very impressive restaurant serving modern British dishes. The main building has characterful touches such as flagstones and exposed brick, spruced up with some contemporary art and farming paraphernalia such as a panel of colourful tractor seats. The three guest rooms here are quite traditionally furnished, and there are lodges in the grounds with a more modern if rather plain decor that sleep up to four and therefore are ideal for families. They have kitchen and seating areas, and some have hot tubs. With glorious walks on the doorstep, and the historic towns of Ludlow, Leominster and Ledbury around 30 minutes away, there’s plenty waiting to be explored.
