“A stunning Georgian house located on the River Wye with elegant rooms featuring well-placed paintings and a few choice antiques. The views are spectacular, the charming lounge blissfully relaxing, breakfasts delicious and there's plenty to keep all entertained in the surrounding countryside. ”

Hotel review

This characterful Georgian mansion makes a great base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Monmouth, the Brecon Beacons and Malvern - and historic Ross-on-Wye, just a few minutes' walk away. Tastefully decorated throughout, with earthy or pale wall colours, a few beams, antique furniture and period artworks, it's lovely, especially the inviting sitting room, with its honesty bar and light fixture made from antlers. The views of the river and Ross from the conservatory at breakfast makes a nice start to the day. Guest rooms are traditionally furnished and have such features as freestanding baths, vintage trunks and four-poster beds. There's a three-acre garden too.
