Situated on Lancashire’s Fylde Coast on the River Wyre, The Cartford Inn, is a 14-bedroom hotel-cum-restaurant, run by welcoming Julie and Patrick.
Originally a 17th century coaching inn, The Cartford blends traditional features with more contemporary living. The recently refurbished rooms range from a spectacular penthouse suite with roof-top terrace and roll-top bath, to elegant doubles and family or disabled options. All highlight the owners’ superb attention to detail, whether it’s the French-style furniture, the claw-footed bath tub or the exquisite wallpapers.
Cosy in winter with an open wood fire and games room, there’s also a beer garden for when the weather brightens up. The food’s excellent too, whether it’s a meal in the restaurant or a sandwich in the sitting room.
