Why do people love staying in your hotel? Our guests love the quirky and cosy décor of the hotel, which is full of bespoke and antique furniture. They love exploring the Secret Garden and Residents Snug, which offer a secluded oasis to relax and unwind. Our staff love recommending local gems, and offering a warm welcome to every guest. What is there to do in the area? Northumberland is a treasure trove, offering endless coastline, grand historic castles, and quirky second-hand bookstores, all just waiting to be explored. What kind of breakfast do you offer? We offer a wide selection for breakfast- from our lovingly homemade Granola, traditional Full English, and contemporary crushed avocado and poached egg- there is something to suit everyone. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Our Bistro is open daily serving fresh Northumbrian goodness. Every Friday and Saturday our Bistro opens in the evening, to serve the very best seasonal produce. We have recently opened our doors on a Thursday evening, serving up a delicious local Surf + Turf menu. Which are your most popular room types, and why? The most sought after room is our Suite, The Chapel. The building has deep historic roots and was once an Order of Mercy Convent. The Chapel features original stain glass windows, a copper roll-top bath and an impressive domed ceiling. Our Mother Superiors are also popular for their stunning views across to Alnwick Castle. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? We have two adjoining rooms that are perfect for family parties. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? We are the perfect “cookie” escape, what are you waiting for?
