Hotel Review
Within easy reach of the now bustling lake town of Nainital, The Cottage provides a haven of peace and tranquility for those in search of a relaxing break. Sitting in the Indian shabby chic drawing room you feel as at home as if you were in your own. Curl up with a good book (next to the crackling fire in winter months) or gaze across the surrounding valleys with a steaming pot of masala chai and freshly baked cakes. A labour of love, owner Bhuvan Khumari is as charming and idiosyncratic as the property itself and one can see that the very fabric of her being (and the fabrics of her choice) have gone into making this place an unforgettable stay. Her expert eye for design means that all rooms are more whimsical than the next. Some enjoy separate sitting areas or private balconies. There are plenty of picturesque walks and an abundance of bird and wildlife, whilst the lake towns of Nainital and Bhimtal are within easy reach by road. The staff are always visible and eager to help. Ideal for boutique lovers and those in search of a relaxing respite.
