Hotel Review

An excellent example of a revamped village inn, now a popular meeting place for lunches and dinners, even breakfasts, on the open plan ground floor with several distinct eating areas, a two-sided bar and kitchen open to view. Excellent wine list. Beyond the terrace, with great views across the countryside below, a pretty new weatherboarded building houses 11 simple bedrooms and excellent bathrooms for overnight stays in this charming village.

The Crown

"With its white walls and jumble of tiled roofs, its sun trap of a terrace and neat green picket fence, and its mix of sofas and banquettes, its flagstone floor and kitchen open to view on the inside, it presents the ideal country hostelry for modern urban man."
