“Stylish country pub with occasional antiques and great bathrooms, interior designed by the Duchess of Devonshire. Good food from the Chatsworth Estate, and walks from the door.”

Hotel review

The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire's latest Derbyshire venture is a companion to the Devonshire Arms at Beeley, both being former pubs on their Chatsworth estate (they also own and operate the Devonshire Arms and Devonshire Fell on their Bolton Abbey estate in Yorkshire). Like the one at Beeley, the Devonshire Arms at Pilsley has now been modernised and updated, with seven bright and cheerful bedrooms (each with an excellent bathroom) distinguished by the Duchess's eye for colour and fabric, and by the cooking of chef/patron Alan Hill, who also oversees Beeley. If you are visiting Chatsworth, the only choice is which one of the two to choose....
