Upstairs, bedrooms are more chic than the unpretentious public areas might lead you to expect, with grey and cream paintwork and limewashed plank floors. Absent minded guests who have forgotten their toothbrush will find amenities including dental kits in bathrooms. The more spacious 'Royal Mile' rooms have a view of the eponymous thoroughfare and bathrooms with free-standing tubs. Secondary double glazing in all bedrooms reduces street noise. Guests may use the pool and health club at the Radisson Blu, next door, for a nominal £10 fee.
