The opening of the rooms at The Orange have been eagerly awaited, but are they worth the wait? We think so! Tucked away in Pimlico a hop and a skip from Daylesford this latest offering from Cubitt House doesn't fail to impress. Not because it is in itself impressive; rooms aren't huge, they are simple, chic, decorated in lush colours with big beds and bigger headboards. Shower rooms are tiled in strong colours and feature the group's signature and much loved 100 Acres bath and body products. Heated towel rails are standard as are big fluffy towels and flannels. The selection of coffee capsultes included different brands and strengths and there is tea too, though some herbal would be nice. All of the four rooms are on the second floor behind beautiful oak doors.
The restaurant is in two floors, the ground floor, next to the bar and the first floor, take your pick. The food is delicious, think simple dishes, full of flavour such as grilled squid with aioli and flat iron steak with courgettes. This is the kind of place you arrive for lunch and stay for supper such is the appeal of the food, service and the aesthetics. Another resounding success from Cubitt House.
