“A fabulous addition to The Pig collection set in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Individually styled rooms are typically chic with rich indulgent fabrics, plenty of reclaimed textures and wood, and rolltop baths. Laid-back conservatory restaurant for trademark plot-to-table fare.”

Hotel review

The latest addition to The Pig collection of properties will not disappoint any of the loyal fan base which it has accrued over the last decade or so. Situated in the heart of West Sussex's South Downs National Park, The Pig in The South Downs is a pretty period lodge which has been lovingly converted to provide quirky and cosy accommodation which typifies the brand. The 30 rooms and suites are spread amongst traditional brick and flint stable yard buildings. All are individually designed and offer the same cosy, yet indulgent vibe that you'll find in the other Pigs: think rolltop baths or walk-in monsoon showers, rich velvets, eclectic furnishings and plenty of reclaimed textures and wood. For a treat or a romantic break, book one of the wagons which are kitted out with wood-burners and free-standing tubs for two and are tucked away either in the walled garden or in the long grass fields. The restaurant is the property's stand out feature and it's backed up by the huge kitchen garden which provides the basis of its locally sourced delicious dishes (all other ingredients come from suppliers within a 25 mile radius). Plus there's a couple of Potting Shed Treatment rooms ideal for a spot of pampering after a tiring day exploring the surrounding countryside. Put simply it's the perfect option for a romantic break, an indulgent country escape or the place to come for complete relaxation.
