“Glitz and glamour from the dapper doormen to the lavish hallways and Neoclassical features. Large beds and luxurious features make up the classically decorated rooms. The Rivoli Bar is an Art Deco lover's dream, whereas the restaurants house fine art works and British cuisine. Don't miss High Tea. ”

Hotel review

Privately owned, perfectly preserved and full of characters amongst the traditionally uniformed staff, the Ritz is the one London hotel where it still feels like a major treat to be there. Entering the ravishing Long Gallery, you pass the Palm Court, packed all day for Afternoon Tea, such is its popularity, and arrive at the sensational dining room, gilded, garlanded and with superb food to match. There’s also the jewelled cigar box of a bar, adjoining William Kent House for private functions in magnificent rooms, and the bedrooms: modernised of course, but still decorated, quite correctly, in the original Louis XVI style of the hotel when it was opened by César Ritz to ecstatic acclaim in 1906.

"An opulent, neoclassical Louis XVI décor distinguishes the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel and its lovely guest rooms in which no luxury is spared, and the hotel preserves a traditional way of travel with its semi-formal dress code in its eateries."
