This cosy, historic pub nestled by the River Lugg amongst stunning countryside is full of character. With its exposed beams, low ceilings, terracotta floor tiles, antique floorboards, wood burner, and candlelit tables in the evenings, it is a delightful place for a drink, but even better is the food. Amazingly good, gourmet-standard dishes, but at pub prices. Accommodation varies from charming rooms in the 17th century building itself, plus two external suites featuring exposed beams and stone walls, as well as three lovely if rather small garden lodges. In addition to the beautiful wildlife-rich walks on the doorstep, pretty Ludlow, Hereford and Leominster are all nearby.
