Puerto Madryn, also known as Madryn, is a city in the province of Chubut in Argentine Patagonia. It sits in the Golfo Nuevo, which is formed by the Península Valdés and the Punta Ninfas, and is an important seaside destination for tourists visiting the natural attractions of the Península Valdés and the coast. It's also the place the first Welsh settlers arrived in Patagonia in the 19th century - today there are over 50,000 Argentines with Welsh heritage.
