About Fiji

A tropical paradise of 300+ islands brimming with lush forests, picture-perfect beaches and a marvellous underwater world, Fiji is a dream holiday destination. Many choose its islands for intimate weddings or honeymoons, whilst others travel with friends and family for active, outdoorsy trips in striking surroundings. Whether you’re a couple or multi-generational group, Fiji’s plethora of hotels and resorts promise something for everyone. Boasting simple eco lodges as well as impressive private island resorts, our list of the best places to stay in Fiji is full of our favourite holiday hotspots, big and small.

Some of our Fiji collections:

Rich in culture and community, Fiji is famously friendly. We’d highly recommend delving into Fijian history through visiting the Fiji Museum, set within the Thurstan Botanical Gardens in the capital city of Suva, or exploring smaller villages and attending traditional ceremonies. Suva itself is a cultural hub, with temples, markets and parliament buildings set in and around the winding alleyways of the historic downtown area.

Most travellers, however, choose to base themselves on one of Fiji’s smaller islands — lush Taveuni, Kadavu or the Mamanucas and Yasawas islands. Enjoy jungle treks and mountain biking, or go sailing, surfing, jet-boating, windsurfing and kayaking on crystal-clear waters. Home to both the Great Sea Reef and the Great Astrolabe Reef — the latter of which surrounds Kadavu Island — Fiji is particularly well-known for its marvellous snorkelling and diving. Hone your skills, get your PADI certification and spot some of the 1500 different species of fish and ocean creatures on the reef.

Come evening, cosy up on a private island, gather at a delectable resort restaurant or dance to live music on the beach at one of the best places to stay in Fiji.
