About Chambolle-Musigny

Situated between Beaune and Dijon, idyllic Chambolle-Musigny has been fringed by green vineyards for almost a thousand years. Founded in 1100 as a vineyard run by monks from Citeaux, this curious little community has an impressive wine-making heritage and has long appealed to keen foodies and wine lovers exploring Burgundy. Small and intimate, the best places to stay in Chambolle-Musigny are ideal for couples or relaxed holidays with family and friends.

Chambolle-Musigny is well-located along the 150km long stretch of vineyards which make up the Burgundy wine-growing route. There are, of course, myriad world-class wineries offering tours and tastings; some ask that you book ahead for long lunches, whilst others are happy for you simply to stop by. Boat trips along the lovely Canal du Nivernais and treks through the Réserve Naturelle la Combe Lavaux-Jean Roland are also wonderful.

Venture into lively Dijon and Beaune for museums, galleries and markets. Discover historic Nuits-Saint-Georges, a laid-back town with a beautiful Romanesque church, the intriguing Le Cassissium Museum and a buzzy Friday market.
