About San Felice del Benaco

Small, charming San Felice Del Benaco is certainly worthy of its name, which comes from the Latin for ‘pleasant harbour’. It is one of Lake Garda’s smaller harbours, so there’s not a huge range of accommodation. However in addition to beautifully converted villas, accommodation options include a number of traditional waterfront hotels, a collection of B&Bs and pensiones, and a small chalet hotel, which is just outside town.

San Felice Del Benaco is a good choice for families, or anyone who wants to enjoy watersports, and for cyclists, who’re bound to appreciate the trail which runs thorough town to Portese and Cisano. The town's community puts together a busy schedule of activities during the summer months too, beyond the regular Wednesday produce markets.

The harbour is definitely one of the town’s main appeals, and many of the best places to stay in San Felice Del Benaco line up beside it. The town also has a Baroque church, complete with 18th century frescoes; a ruined castle, complete with a graveyard and a tower; and a couple of very beautiful palazzos. It is also one of the closest centres for visits to Isola del Garda, Lake Garda’s largest island, and a place of rich Italian gardens, and a luxurious palace.
