Sardinia is naturally romantic: a place of idyllic sandy beaches; a wild and rocky interior; and fantastic history, culture and cuisine. It’s also large enough to offer plenty of variation, though, of course, it’s also the perfect background against which to do very little. This is a memorable place to visit with a loved one, this is a great destination for families too, but if you’d prefer to avoid them this time around, there are some utterly charming adults only hotels and resorts where you can do that with impunity. There’s a handful of them on the island’s north east coastline, above Olbia. If you’re looking for adults only luxury resort on the beach, you may also want to consider the southern coast, around Santa Margherita di Pula, where there are several gorgeously long stretches of white, sandy beach. It's also worth exploring Sardinia's dramatic interior, where there are some charmingly converted estates, now boutique, adults only hotels.
