York racecourse is one of the UK’s top flat-racing venues, and is the third largest in the country in terms of prize money. If you’re coming to a race meeting, then you’ll naturally want a hotel near York racecourse to make the most of your time. The racecourse is on the south side of the city, on what is called the Knavesmire.
