Hotel review

Borgo d'Orlando is a charming small hotel situated just inland, on Sicily's northern coast, about 40 mins to the east of medieval Cefalu. It enjoys a slightly elevated position and both the pool and rooms on the upper floors have superb views over the Nebrodi Mountains. The nine rooms offer a clever blend of contemporary style - think white-washed walls and a minimalist pared back feel - with traditional features including exposed beamed ceilings. Some even offer a private outdoor terrace. There's a large outdoor pool with plenty of loungers for lazy days, plus cookery classes once a week and yoga sessions amongst the olive groves. A great choice for a relaxing break, but with plenty of activities for more outdoorsy types in the surrounding countryside.
