Why do people love staying in your hotel? Nestled away on our country Estate, Brimstone offers a contemporary, luxury escape with lots of unique touches. With a variety of additional treats for our guests, they can truly feel taken care of.
What makes your hotel unique? We like to think we can bring city luxury to the Lake District.
What is there to do in the area or on site? Located in the heart of the Lake District, guests can explore the National Park whether that be by walking, cycling, ghyll scrambling or perhaps with a pint at the local pub. Guests have an array of activities to choose from, or they can simply sit back and relax… the choice is all theirs.
How far are you from the nearest airport and do you need to hire a car? 1 hour 21 minutes from Carlisle Airport, 1 hour 54 minutes from Manchester Airport and 2 hours 17 minutes from Newcastle Airport, it would be recommended to guests to hire a car. If travelling from the UK, travelling via train to Windermere train station is a good option as our Hosts can transport guests to and from the station via our chauffer service, which is available to all guests.
What kind of breakfast do you offer? A proper feast. From buttery pastries, to fresh and juicy fruit, to a wholesome full English, there is something to tickle everyone’s fancy. And, guests can even enjoy it in bed if they like.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Complimentary to Brimstone guests, the Reading Room is filled with a range of goodies. Nibbles, sweet treats and a variety of drinks (some more indulgent than others) can be enjoyed whilst relaxing in front of an open fire or whilst cosying down with a good book. Offering contemporary dishes, including locally sourced ingredients of the finest quality, Stove, our onsite restaurant (at sister hotel, The Langdale) provides a dining experience for every occasion. Further afield and around a 15-minute drive from the Estate, Ambleside, Grasmere and Windermere have an array of good places to eat. From traditional and cosy pubs to fine dining experiences, guests are spoilt for choice.
Which is your most popular room, and why? All of our rooms tend to get booked up months in advance, specifically on weekends. However, all of our rooms which feature fires are particularly popular with our guests.
Do you accept children and if so, what facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? Brimstone is adult only.
