COMO’s first property in Bhutan—a 20-suite hillside lodge surrounded by nine standalone villas—beautifully blends into a backdrop of blue pine trees above Paro, one of the five main valleys. The spa scene in this mountainous kingdom is positively humming and later this year the existing Aman and COMO properties will be joined by Six Senses and a new Taj. But the most stylish and savvy of the lot remains Uma by COMO in Paro, which goes far beyond a nurturing destination retreat.
