Hotel Review
The history of this elegant hotel built in 1926 oozes when stepping over the worn marble slab at the entrance, with the hotel's name emblazoned upon it. Years of endless horse drawn carriages riding through have caused it to wear away. Blending a contemporary look with an Art Deco vibe, the swish public areas are complemented by the 145 rooms and suites with slick, minimalist decor with features like cream or dark brown fabric wallpaper, motorised blinds and a smart dark grey bathroom with frosted glass. There's a highly regarded restaurant, Bistro Helena, and two swish bars, a gym and small spa with treatment rooms, a steam room and sauna. There is a real 'wow' factor when you hit the roof terrace and its infinity pool, with wonderful skyline views beyond.
