“A friendly hostel in the Yanesen neighbourhood. Minimalist rooms, some with private bathroom, plus a shared kitchen and lounge with TV and gaming equipment. There's a cafe serving meals throughout the day and free beer at happy hour. A good choice for those on a budget who enjoy meeting others.”

Hotel Graphy Nezu

This structure — originally meant to be a share-house for young Tokyoites in entry-level jobs — has morphed into Graphy Nezu, a hotel-apartment hybrid for international penny-pinchers who don't want to sacrifice on comforts. Hotel Graphy is a worthy choice if you're seeking a hostel vibe. We prefer the private en suite rooms, which are styled with items that look like they're from a Danish mid-century garage sale.
