“A family run hotel steeped in history. Unpretentious style and service lay the set for legendary art work including Picasso and Matisse. The Provençale cuisine is worthy of a visit alone and served in a laid back atmosphere. A truly unique property. 3 night min in high season”

Hotel review

When Paul Roux opened his modest inn in the 1930s, he wouldn't have dreamed it would become the famous, chic hotel it is today. Many of his customers were struggling artists. The result: the art and sculpture on display to this day is extraordinary. The style is rustic chic and refreshingly casual, whether by the pool, on the flower-filled terrace or in the cosy sunken sitting room. A legendary hotel. Three night minimum in high season.

"A rustic, family-run inn once favored by the likes of Picasso and Matisse, La Colombe d’Or in Provence still offers simple country pleasures — albeit amidst some of the world’s most iconic masterworks, casually bestowed by its famous guests."

La Colombe d'Or Hotel

"La Colombe d’Or combines the French charm of a countrified, family-run auberge in the Riviera hills with a priceless collection of art so extraordinary it could hang in the Tate Modern."
